Ree's lightsaber is yay-big too!

Back on Coruscant, Ree discovers a holocron in the hidden compartment of her lightsaber when she realizes its balance is off. It's from Darth Vader.

After debriefing with the Jedi Council, the crew is given some time off. Ree goes out and gets a business proposition she can't refuse. Actually, she does refuse it, and it's not till later when she tells other people about it that she realizes the guy was making veiled threats. Apparently, Coruscant's mob wants a piece of the Jedi movie action.

The crew attends the premiere of "Sudden but Inevitable Betrayal," the new movie about them. There's a preview clip of the next movie, "Haunted Ship," where Ree fights Vader. They blame Kyp. He doesn't care.

At the party, SARR catches up to Ree and points out that her lightsaber is "yay big." She panics about the holocron and rushes out of the building, then calms down and calls Kyp. He reveals that he gave Luke an edited copy with a 'farewell note' from Vader. The real one, he says, rants a lot and doesn't stay on-topic very well.

Kedrihm'Val talks to Cilghal, the Jedi healer on the Council, about sentient Force reefs, as it appears that Mon Calamari has one too. The phenomena are very similar, and the languages bear certain similarities as well. The two become curious as to whether the Calamari and Vodne (the Abindosani fish-people) might be related.

A visit with Lydia reveals that she's doing well. She's getting some training in healing techniques.

Then they get a message from the Senate, ordering them to ship-jack a Thule transport in order to steal some kind of liquid the Thule need to operate their battle-monsters. The crew arranges for some innocuous-looking transport. The Senate sends Kaedan, the ship-jacker, along with for "professional consultation."

Ree gets interviewed about taking an apprentice. She doesn't feel ready. Zann lectures her on "when to put a lightsaber through someone" and how to put your hood up and down. These two things, he says, are key to teaching a student. What you have to teach them is when to and when not to put a lightsaber through someone, and the hood thing is all about the mystique.

The hijacking goes well. Oola, Zann, and Kaedan head to the Thule ship's bridge. When they run into opposition, Zann takes two lightsabers out, lets them go and sets them spinning, then takes out two more. It so demoralizes their enemies that they just give up.

Kedrihm'Val, Ree, Z, and Onna head down to the hold to capture the stuff. They're confronted by an assassin droid, two monsters, a telepath and a dark Force-user with a lightsaber. Kedrihm'Val catches the dart from the assassin droid. Ree duels the Force-user. Onna lights the monsters on fire, and Z fires a missile into the hold.

The stuff turns out to be explosive. Who knew? The get Oola to seal the hold down to stop the atmosphere breach.

The Force-user surrenders, knowing they won't kill him, then mind-whammies Z to hold a weapon on Ree. He takes off at Force-enhanced speed, but Kaedan hacks the door controls from the bridge to lock the guy in...and manages to actually cut the dude in half with the blast doors.

All's well that ends well. People head up to the bridge with their captives and head for home. Except that, on the way up, for a second, Kedrihm'Val thinks his reflection looks different.

Back on Coruscant, everybody spends a restful night...but Kedrihm'Val wakes to feel not particularly rested at all. Getting Oola to help him look at security tapes, he discovers that he sleep-walked down to one of the ships from the haunted Star Destroyer and just stood there, looking at it, for four hours. Turns out, it's the ship that held the family that had killed themselves.
